Be happy with what God has given you

can't take it with you when your gone).
"There is great gain in godliness combined with contentment; for we brought nothing into the world and we can take nothing out of it." 1 Timothy 6:6-7
What is contentment? Contentment means my happiness is not dependent upon circumstances. Most people get caught in "when" thinking -- "When I get such and such, then I'll be happy." "When I get to a certain level economically... When I get a certain job ... When I can retire ... then I'll be happy. When I get the house paid off... When I get the bills paid off... then!" No matter how much you have you are always wanting more.
Paul learned contentment. He says in Philippians 4:12, "I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I've learned the secret of contentment in every situation." (LB) Contentment is something you have to learn. It's not something that comes naturally. I, by my nature, am naturally discontent. And so are you.
We're constantly comparing -- and comparing causes discontent. And because of discontent God says, "You can't handle what I want to give you because you're putting too much priority on things in your life.:
Ecclesiastes 7:14 When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. (1 Corinthians 13:4–6
The Bible clearly teaches us to "be content" no matter what our circumstances are. In Philippians 4:11, Paul said, "I have learned in whatsoever state I am in therewith to be content." The Amplified Bible describes being content as "satisfied to the point where you are not disturbed or disquieted". It doesn't say satisfied to the point where you don't want change, but satisfied for now until God brings the change. Philippians 4:6-7 sheds more light in this area by saying, "Have no anxiety about anything, but in all things by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, continue to let God know what you want", and verse 7 "the peace that passes understanding shall keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus". Allow me to paraphrase these scriptures in my language for you. Don't be upset about anything, no matter what is happening. Pray about it, and tell God your need. While you are waiting for God to move, be a very thankful and grateful person for all that God has done for you already. (Note: Let me say here that if God never did one thing for us except write our names in the Lamb's Book of Life, that alone is more than enough.)

God I think You for everything You have given me. I know You provide everything that I need. Lord be with my facebook family and friends and know I love You. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen,

10th commandment

11.22.15 We haven't been to our Church for 2 weeks, last week we went away for our vacation and this week we went and worshiped with Ben and Katlin @ the Church they go to. Ben joined the Choir and today was the 1st day. Their choir only sing about 4 or 5 times a year. They have 4 services a day and the choir sings for all services and it was great. I missed our Church but it was great to go and see the Choir of 40 men and women all smiling, moving and holding up their hands in praise. Then the preacher was finishing the series on the 10 commandments. He was talking about the 10th commandment that says: You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”
He was saying that covet is like saying you desire your neighbor's house or your neighbor's wife, or maybe you desire to have the job or whatever your neighbor may have.
Are we really that vain that we are not happy with what God gives us that we have to crave something that someone else has? I think that's sad that people can't seem to be happy with what God gives them. God knows what we need and maybe He knows we don't need what our neighbor needs. Don't get me wrong I don't think it's wrong to want to better our selves but I think it goes to far when you may desire your neighbors wife or husband when you already have 1 that has been there with you through everything already. All I'm saying is be thankful for what you have because you never know when it'll be gone.

God I come to You thinking You for everything You have given me. Sure I desire to have things but I know if I need them You will supply all my needs. Lord please be with my friends and family and know I love You. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.

Power in His name

11.20.15 There is power in the name of Jesus
Man no longer fears or cares about God or even believe in the power of God. We better realize the power that the name of Jesus holds. Just by saying His name we are in His presence. We serve a mighty God, we serve a powerful God we serve a jealous God. God’s name is powerful, and Jesus’ name is power because they are almighty. We serve an almighty God. One who Loves us but on who also expects us to worship and serve Him.
Jesus. What a powerful name. The Scripture says of the name: “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)
He has set the name of Jesus above every other name. That is the Lord we serve. We serve a might master and He is exalted above all others. He sits on the right hand of God. Today He is our intercessor with God. But one day soon He will be the Judge of this world. One day soon all unbelievers will have to face Him and bow down and acknowledge Him as the Lord.

How many of you believe there is power in His name?

God I believe there is power in Your name. I love You for being who You are. I love you for knowing everything before it happens and for being with me everyday no matter what. Lord please be with my facebook family friends and family and know I love You. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.

God gives you blessings

11.19.15 God gives you blessings
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8
“I will bless you … and you will be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2)
The Bible teaches us that we are blessed not just so that we can feel good, not just so we can be happy and comfortable, but so that we will bless others.
How do you bless others? By serving a need, whether it is physical or emotional support, financial help, or practical advice. "Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand" (Philippians 1:4)

God promises that if we will concentrate on blessing others, he’ll take care of our needs. There’s almost nothing that God won’t do for the person who really wants to help other people. In fact, God guarantees this blessing. In Luke 18, Jesus says, “I guarantee this. Anyone who gives up anything for the kingdom of God will certainly receive many times more in this life and will receive eternal life in the next world to come.” When you care about helping other people, God assumes responsibility for your problems. And that’s a real blessing, for he’s much better at handling your difficulties than you are.

The more you bless other people and the more you help others, the more God blesses your life. Luke 6:38 tells us, “Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back — given back with bonus and blessing”

Jesus said it this way in Luke 12: “Much is required from the person to whom much is given; much more is required from the person to whom much more is given”. We are blessed to be a blessing.

Are you blessed today? If you feel blessed give God an Amen.

Lord I think You for all the blessings You give me. I feel blessed each and every day. Any day I wake up I know I've been blessed. Now Lord please watch over my facebook family and friends and know I love You. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.
