Christmas is over

12.26.15 Well Christmas is over now what?
It's Time To Put Things Away.
A. Decorations, Lights, and other seasonal items
B. If you decorated…it is time to put them away.
C. Wrapping paper, gift bags, bows, etc.
D. Just as we put these away, we should put away our hurts, our unfulfilled expectations
E. Put away the comparisons…
F. Let's not forget what Christmas is supposed to be about.

Acts 20:35, "...and to remember the words of our Lord Jesus, how He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."

It's Time To Express Gratitude For What We Have Received.
We should be thankful for the gifts we have received from those who love us.
Also don't forget about the multitude of other gifts such as...
Family, Friends, Health, Jobs & Church

The most important is our salvation through Jesus Christ.

(Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Has the Lord blessed you? This is a great time of year to remember that and thank Him.

It's Time To Get Back To A Normal Routine.

Christmas has been fun...but it is time to get back to normal (whatever that may mean)
For some of us that will mean a change in what we eat. For others it will mean going back to work and getting back on schedule. For students it means getting back to classes. For believers it means getting back to the basics of living for Him daily. Living for the Lord isn't always exciting, but it is always rewarding.

(1 Corinthians 4:2) Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

It has been nice to have a break, and enjoy the holidays, but it is required of us that we be found faithful.

It's time to start thinking about 2016, keep looking forward and never look back. Keep your eyes on the prize and that prize is Heaven.

* If you have never trusted Christ as Savior, commit your life to Him today.
*Christians, why not make a commitment to His local church…join with us as we serve the Lord together in the New Year.
* Church members, how about a commitment to become more involved in serving others this year?
* There isn't an area or ministry of our church that couldn't use some additional folks who are willing to faithfully serve.

So as we start the New Year together let's think about what we can do for God this upcoming year.

Lord I come to You thanking You for all You have given us. I thank You for allowing the family to come for Christmas Dinner, I thank You for sending Omar to be a new member of our family. I thank You for our Church family and for giving my job I have. Thank You for the people I work with. I thank You for giving me a loving and caring husband. Lord I pray if there is anyone reading this that doesn't know You as their Lord and Savior then let today be the day for salvation. God please watch over my facebook family and friends and know I love You. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.

12.25.15 Well I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I pray that you celebrated the real meaning of Christmas and that's the Birth of Jesus the Savior of the World. It's not about gift giving or receiving, without Christ there would not be Christmas. So if you haven't yet then take a few minutes and spend it with God and thank Him for the Birth of His Son. After all God gave us the best gift of all and that's the gift of eternal life through the death, burial and resurrection of His one and only Son Jesus.
Christmas can be overwhelming, if we let it; I suspect many people have felt the way you do, at least occasionally.
But of course it shouldn’t be this way, because Christmas celebrates the greatest event in the history of the human race: the night God stooped down from Heaven and became a human being—Jesus Christ. On that night, the Bible says, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:14).
I’ve sometimes wondered if Mary didn’t feel overwhelmed that first Christmas. Put yourself in her position: told by an angel she would bear God’s Son, although she was a virgin … forced to journey to Bethlehem for a Roman census … giving birth in a stable … visited by shepherds when all she probably wanted to do was rest … yes, it must have been almost overwhelming. And yet through it all Mary knew she was in God’s will — and that was what really mattered. The Bible says, “But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart” (Luke 2:19).
Ask God to help you be more organized this year, and to cut out the things you don’t really need to do. But also take time each day to be alone with God—even if it’s only for a few minutes. Let the wonder of what happened that first Christmas sink into your soul, and thank God for sending His Son into the world for our salvation.
Christmas is not a myth, not a tradition, not a dream. It is a glorious reality. It is a time of joy. Bethlehem’s manger crib became the link that bound a lost world to a loving God. From that manger came a Man who not only taught us a new way of life, but brought us into a new relationship with our Creator. Christmas means that God is interested in the affairs of people, that God loves us so much that He was willing to give His Son.
So before you go to bed tonight thank God for allowing you to have another Christmas with your family and friends and most of all for sending His Son to die that horrible death on that cross so that we may live.
God I come to You thanking You for allowing me to enjoy Christmas with family and I want to thank You for sending Omar our way so that he could spend this special day with us. Lord I want to thank You for sending Your Son so that I may live. Lord please watch over my facebook family and friends and know I love You. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.

God's gift to mankind

12.24.15 Since it's Christmas time the next couple days I'm going to talk about God's gift to all mankind.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
God has given us the gift of His Word.
JESUS CHRIST is the greatest gift to the world, church, you and me.
"God controls all that happens in His world, every meal, every pleasure, every possession, every bit of sun, every night’s sleep, every moment of health and safety, everything that sustains and enriches life, is a divine gift. And how abundant these gifts are!"
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17)
When Jesus came to earth as a man and suffered and died on the cross so that you could be reconciled to God, He had you in mind, even though He had not created you yet. (Acts 17:24-27) “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. {25} And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. {26} From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. {27} God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. (Ephesians 4:7-8) But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. {8} Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.” The greatest gift God gave to you was Himself, the greatest gift you can give God is yourself.
I found the following story that fits in with this blog and it reminds me of some of the mission trips my Church has gone on: One year at Christmas time I gave out Bibles to the poor in The Philippines, New Testaments in their language. They were well received. I still remember one older woman saying this was her best Christmas ever because she had received the Bible. She held it close to her heart as she thanked me. For many of those people receiving a Bible, it was their only Christmas present.
The most precious thing a person can own is a Bible. It gives the knowledge of God, it makes the poor man rich, it gives hope to the hopeless, faith to the fearful, food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, love to the despised, comfort to the lonely, freedom to the prisoner, health to the sick, light in the darkness, and life to the dying.
One of the best gifts God has given you is the privilege to give, take advantage of it and enjoy the blessings, and the presence of God upon you, and in you. “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23)
Remember the greatest present from God is that He provided a way for us to dwell in His presence, now and forever. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalms 16:11)
Well come back tomorrow and see what else God has to say to us.

Lord, help me remember that it is only by your power and will that I am even alive;and I can do nothing without you.
You breathed your breath of life in me and allowed this speck of ’dust in the wind’ to exist. You are the moving of my limbs, the beating of my heart, the breath in my lungs. Without you, I am just a body - dead - nothing. You are this life.
John 3:16
Lord please be with my facebook family and friends and know I love You. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.

What does God say about the weather

2.23.15 What does God say about the weather?
People say it's suppose to be snowing this time of year, but I say God is in control of the weather. If God wants it to snow it'll snow, if He doesn't it won't. I think the way the weather is right now it's God saying I'm still in control. You hear people say it's mother nature but I say it's God.
Jeremiah 10:12-13 It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens. When he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.
Psalm 148:8 Fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word!
He is in control, and has His reasons for all kinds of weather, both fair and stormy.
He sends Earthquakes
Isaiah 29:6 "Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire."
God sends the snow, cold and frost
Psalm 78:47" He destroyed ...their sycamore trees with frost..."
Job 37:6 "For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth..."
God controls the lightning
Job 37:3 "He directeth ... his lightning unto the ends of the earth."
Psalm 97:4 "His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled."
He sends the winds
Genesis 8:1-2 "... and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters receded... and the rain from heaven was restrained."
Exodus 14:21 "... and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind..."
Psalm 78:26 "He caused an east wind to blow ... by his power he brought in the south wind."
Jeremiah 51:1 "...Behold, I will raise up against... them that rise up against me, a destroying wind."
Jonah 1:4 "But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken."
God sends hailstones
Joshua 10:11 "... the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword."
God might alter weather conditions to redirect our route, to change our plans.
Psalm 66:6 "He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him."
Luke 8:23-25 " ... and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy ....Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him."
Wow how awesome is that, even the weather bows down to God and does what He says. I just love watching all that God does even though I don't particularly like storms. I know God will protect me. Lord I ask that You please keep watch over my facebook family and friends and know that I love You. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.
