Do you like gifts?

7.2.15 Do you like gifts?
I don't know too many people who don't like gifts. You know when Christmas comes around, you love getting gifts. Remember when you were a small child and you couldn't wait until Christmas so you could get up and open the presents. What about your birthday, besides the cake and ice-cream a lot of people love getting gifts. Well you can accept a free gift that God has offered to you, all you have to do is accept the gift. Let's see what the Bible says about God's gift to us:
The greatest gift God gave to you was Himself, the greatest gift you can give God is yourself. Our God is full of compassion and He loves to give, God is thinking about you continuously all day and night, He is constantly giving to you, every breath you take is a gift from God. The most precious thing a person can own is a Bible. It gives the knowledge of God, it makes the poor man rich, it gives hope to the hopeless, faith to the fearful, food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, love to the despised, comfort to the lonely, freedom to the prisoner, health to the sick, light in the darkness, and life to the dying. The giver always gets blessed more than the receiver. The first blessing is the joy of the Lord.

One of the best gifts God has given you is the privilege to give, take advantage of it and enjoy the blessings, and the presence of God upon you, and in you. “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23)

Remember the greatest present from God is that He provided a way for us to dwell in His presence, now and forever. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalms 16:11)

God loved you so much that He sent His own Son, Jesus, to pay that penalty for you. Jesus left the amazing wonders of Heaven, and permitted Himself to be born as a helpless child in a manger. He was blameless, spotless, and pure. That’s why He was the only one qualified to stand in our place, and pay the debt of sin that we owed.

For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

So will you accept God's free gift? God is waiting for you with open arms. Do you know where you will go when you die? If your not for sure then please accept the gift because we're not promised tomorrow.

God if there's 1 person reading this that hasn't accepted your free gift let today be the day. I want to pray that if they don't have someone to talk to about accepting this gift then they can ask me and I'll be glad to talk them about your gift. Lord please watch over my facebook family and friends and know that I love you. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.

Do you suffer for Christ

7.1.15 Do you suffer for Christ?
Acts 5:41 So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.

2 Corinthians 11:23 Are they servants of Christ?--I speak as if insane--I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death.

1 Peter 2:20 For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.

1 Peter 5:10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

By choosing to obey the Lord Jesus Christ, we are setting ourselves at odds with the world. By closely adhering to the teachings of the Bible, we set ourselves up for rejection, mockery, loneliness, or betrayal. If we choose to take a stand for righteousness and biblical truth, we ensure that we will be misunderstood, mocked, or worse. We need to keep in mind that no threat of suffering deterred the apostles from preaching Christ. In fact, Paul said that losing everything was worth it "that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death" (Philippians 3:10).

Suffering in some form is always going to be a part of being a true follower of Christ. Often our greatest suffering comes from within as we battle for control over a heart that must die to its own will and surrender to Christ’s lordship (Romans 7:15–25). In whatever form suffering comes, we should embrace it as a badge of honor and a privilege that we, like the apostles, have "been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name."

Unfortunately there are people every day who die because they worship God. We are so privileged to be able to worship God, but 1 day who knows that may be us who are being asked to deny Christ or be put to death. Thank about that for a minute, what would you do? Would you stand for Christ or would you deny Christ? Wow that's a mouthful but I would rather live for Christ then live for the world. Well I hope you really think about this situation because who knows when we will have to face what people in other places are facing every day,

God I love you even in the sufferings, God I just want to pray that if it comes down to it, If I'm asked to deny you and live or stand for you and die, I pray I would say i would rather die without Christ. I ask that you be with all my facebook family and friends and know that I love you. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.

Would you rather please God or man?

6.30.15 Would you rather please God or the world?
I don't know about you but I would much rather please God.

1 Thessalonians 2:3 For our appeal does not spring from error or impurity or any attempt to deceive, 4 but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.

Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,

Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.

We should think, I'm doing it for God; I'm doing this job as if I'm doing it for the Lord. If I'm doing my work for the Lord, and not just for the boss, then I'll do it with excellence. That means I will do the best I can because I'm not doing it for anyone's approval except God's. I do my work with enthusiasm. I work for God; therefore, I do it with a cheerful attitude. "Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically." (Romans 12:11) When you work with all your heart, motivated by the love of Christ, your work will be transformed into an act of worship for God.

Remember you can't please everyone but there is 1 person that you need to please and that is God. He is the only 1 that matters in this world. So whatever you do, do it to the best of your knowledge to please the Lord.

God I want to say there is no one I would rather please more then you. I love you with all my heart, body and soul. I know I'm not perfect I'm a work in progress but I know you love me and have patience with me. Please now be with my facebook family and friends and know that I love you. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.

Things you should know about God pt2

6.29.15 Things you should know about God pt 2
*God is family-
The Family of God
(1) I'm so glad I'm a part
of the family of God-
I've been washed in the fountain,
cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus
as we travel this sod,
For I'm part of the family,
the family of God.

(2) You will notice we say "brother
and sister" 'round here-
It's because we're a family
and these folks are so near;
When one has a heartache
we all share the tears,
And rejoice in each victory
In this family so dear.

(3) From the door of an orphanage
to the house of the King-
No longer an outcast,
a new song I sing;
From rags unto riches,
from the weak to the strong,
I'm not worthy to be here,
But, praise God, I belong!

Enough said on that if your not a part of God's family then what are you waiting for? There's no time like the present to join God's family.

*God is the great healer-Like I said in the past my 3 kids are proof that God is still in the healing business.
Deuteronomy 7:15 And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you knew, will he inflict on you, but he will lay them on all who hate you.
Matthew 14:35 And when the men of that place recognized him, they sent around to all that region and brought to him all who were sick 36 and implored him that they might only touch the fringe of his garment. And as many as touched it were made well.
1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

*God is the ultimate planner-All human beings are important in God's eyes. Numbers 14:21 we learn that the plan belongs to the God of Israel who was talking to Moses on Mount Sinai. The planner is therefore the God of Israel who is also the creator of heaven and earth (Isaiah 45:12).
“The Lord foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.” (Psalm 33: 10-11)
“But I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
God has a plan for everybody. That includes me. I don't always know what it is but I have faith in his judgement. His will is His will. He is in control not me.

*God reveals the future-Our Creator “calls those things which do not [yet] exist as though they [already] did” (Romans 4:17). He has the power, foresight and wisdom to bring things to pass according to His great plan and purpose for mankind. “Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will do it” (Isaiah 46:11).

*God cares for you-Caring and compassion is one divine attribute that people sometimes overlook in considering our Creator. But King David didn't. He exclaimed: “But You, O LORD, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth … You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me” (Psalms 86:15-17).

In the Gospels we read that “when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick” (Matthew 14:14). The apostle James later wrote that “the Lord is very compassionate and merciful” (James 5:11).

This sinning world in which we live inevitably creates much anxious worry in many people. But the apostle Peter tells us to exhibit true humility and trust in God in “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:6-7). God is the ultimate caregiver!

I hope I hit of some important parts of God that I thought you needed to know. God I want to thank you for being the loving and caring God that you are. I want to thank you for welcoming me into your family. God please be with my facebook family and friends and know that I love you. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.
