Use your Bible as much as you use your cell phone

6.17.15 Someone posted something the other day and I've been thinking about what the post said. Just think about this for a moment: What if everyone treated their Bible the way they treat their cell phones? Just think about that for a couple minutes. Most people have a cell phone, do you think most people have a Bible? People don't usually leave home without their cell phone.

What if we carried the Bible everywhere we go like we carry the cell phone?
Psalm 119:11 teaches- "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." So as a true believer, I carry the "Word Of God" in my heart."

Do you carry your Bible everywhere you go?

You know how if you leave your cell phone home and realize it before you get to far you turn around and go get it? Well do you do the same thing with the Bible? We send people messages day in and day out and we're always checking the messages on our cell phones, but do we ever check the Bible for messages? Well let me tell you there are a lot of messages God has left in there for you to read.

Some people say they have their cell phone for emergency use only. We can use the Bible in emergencies but God wants us to use the Bible for all our needs. Most people use their cell phones over an hour a day, can you say that about your Bible. Who are we to not give God at least an hour of our time each day. Are we telling God that the cell phone is more important then He is? I know I'm 1 to admit I don't read the Bible like I know I should and I need to strive to do better because God deserves it.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
If God did that for us then why can't we read the Bible for Him?
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

So if you use your cell phone and don't use the Bible or if you choose anything else over the Bible then think about it. God wants you to learn about Him and He wants to spend time with you.

God I want to think you for your Word so that we may hide it in our hearts and then share it with others. God I know I'm not the best @ reading the Bible but I'm a work in progress and I pray that 1 day I will read only the Bible and will remember the verses that are most important for salvation. Lord I ask a silent prayer right now, you know what it is. I also ask that you be with my facebook family and friends and know I love you. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.
