3 things that make a person
6.24.15 3 things that make a person:
*Commitment-We have commitments to our families, neighbors, employers, the church, our health. The Bible also teaches that the chief commitment of our lives is to God Himself. Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment” (Matthew 22:37-38). Jesus is telling us that every fiber of our being, every facet of our lives must be committed to loving and serving God. This means that we must hold nothing back from Him because God holds nothing back from us (John 3:16). Total commitment to God means that Jesus is our sole authority, our guiding light, and our unerring compass. Being committed to Christ means being fruitful; it means being a servant. Our axiom is simple and succinct: “For me to live is Christ” (Philippians 1:21).
*Sincerity-The meaning of the Greek word eilikrinia translated “sincerity” is “purity.” In the Bible it is used in referring to purity of motive. Sincere appears two times in the King James Version. Sincerely appears three times and sincerity 10 times. They are translated from Greek words meaning “genuine,” “without deceit,” “unmixed” and “unadulterated.”
The English word sincere is a good translation of the original Greek. This word in English comes from two Latin words, sin-e and cere. Sin-e simply means without, and cere means wax. So sincere can mean literally “without wax” (John Ciardi, Browser's Dictionary and Native's Guide to the Unknown American Language , Harper & Row, New York, 1980, p. 360).
Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. (Ephesians 6:23–24
*Hard Work-Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, In whatever walk of life you are in, in whatever job or task that you do, do it as unto the Lord. Sometimes we may work for someone who is not honorable or of high quality in character. Satan might try to convince us to act like a sluggard or to be lazy as many of our co-workers are. Don’t give in to that mindset. Be the best worker you can be. Your hard work and diligence are not really for your employer but for the Lord. He sees your diligence and hard work and although maybe you don’t get adequately rewarded in your workplace just know that the Lord is pleased and honored when we do good work.
Do you have a commitment to God? Are you sincere to God? Do you work hard @ your job, remember God helped you get the job so you should work as if it's for Him alone. Do you ever make a commitment to someone saying you will do something and then change your mind? We need to make our yes yes and our no no.
Dear God I come to you tonight asking that you give me the desire to make sure I am fully committed to you, I want to be as sincere to you as I possibly can, and God Mary from M&M use to tell me when you are working for a company just consider it as you are working for the Lord, so do the best you can, so you will please God. Whatever I do I try to do it to the best of my ability because Mary is right we should have the mindset that you are our real boss and we should strive to please you in all we do and say. Now please be with my facebook friends and family and Know that I love you. I ask these things in Jesus Name Amen.
